The Birth of a Divine soul:
A divine soul transcended this Planet Earth, in the form of a child born to a very respectable, affluent and pious couple Shri Bhagwan Das & Mata Sheela Rani on March 7 ‘ 1967 in the City Beautiful, Chandigarh. INDIA. This spiritually gifted child showed sparks of divine behavior and unusual devotion to Krisna at very early stages of childhood. This child was youngest among the 5 siblings; Kanta bahen Jee being the eldest sister); Subhash ( Elder brother); Ravi ( 3rd in seniority); Jyoti ( 4th in seniority).
Named ‘Bhupesh’, meaning ‘King of Earth’ (पृथ्वी के राजा) or one who is ‘crowned the King of Planet Earth’! His broad forehead, large Ocean-like deep eyes with a certain special sparkle, high cheek bones and an extremely calm face were distinctly noticeable. Hardly could the parents or any family member realize at that point in time that a future Guru (Spiritual Master) was born in the family who would yield divine influence, inspiring disciples (śiṣyas) in spiritual development and touch several lives spiritually!
Divine grace inspired virtuous impulses in the mind, body and soul of this gifted child Bhupesh, imparting strength to endure trial and resist worldly temptations. He was, indeed, gifted with plenty of individual virtues, indicating to one and all around him, the excellence of divine origin.
The early childhood – visible signs of being spiritually gifted:
In the tender age group of 3-5 years, when other children in the society would play outdoors and indulge in all sorts of usual ‘hide & seek’ kind of games, this divine child Bhupesh would gather others to the verandah of his house for singing praises of his Aradhye, Lord Krisna, and doing Sankirtan. He would distribute ‘Fruits & sweets’ available in the house as ‘Prasadam’ to the other children who would join him for sankirtan.
Visiting the nearby Sanatan Dharam Mandir (Temple) in the locality was an unfailing routine for him. As a child with an unusual and deep interest in the ‘God’s devotional songs’, he would often sing and dance in His glory effortlessly, without any formal training.
Bhupesh, with Maa Saraswati’s blessings, was endowed with a uniquely gifted melodious and soulful voice which got noticed by the Temple Priests (Mandir’s Pujari), Sadhus in the Guru Maharaj’s Ashram and others. Remembering and singing ‘Bhajans and devotional songs’ in his soulful and mesmerizing voice came naturally to him. In matters related to God, spirituality and devotion, he always displayed an uncanny sense with a ‘photo memory’ to remember and recall effortlessly!
His spiritual bent of mind would drive him to various religious places and ashrams in the unquenchable divine quest from an early age of 11, resulting in an ever increasing spiritual hunger to lift up the soul.Young Bhupesh joined a religious organization and started spending more and more time in the company of Sadhus and devotees.
Adolescence & Education – Spiritual journey:
He spent almost a decade until he turned 21, meeting and visiting different prominent saints and prechers connected to Spiritual & religious Sects/ Organizations/ Ashrams, having a barrage of spiritual thoughts in his mind which was ever increasing. The yearning to find his Satguru (Self- realized and Enlightened Spiritual Master) remained largely unfulfilled as no one could show him the glimpse of divinity that he was longing to experience!
All these years, Young Bhupesh was experiencing something very beautiful and divine within, with an ever expanding ‘Inner being’filling him with ‘Parmanand’. It was a one way lane and there was, certainly, ‘no looking back’ in this divinely blessed spiritual journey.
His well- connected and prominent businessman father continued to explore new ways and methods of binding Young Bhupesh to his flourishing business and family folds. He was always provided with several luxuries of life in the affluent family backdrop. Father being a strict and disciplined businessman, wanted him to start taking interest in the well established family business. Bhupesh would often get reprimanded for his bent towards Saints, religious places, Temples and visits to the ashrams. He completed his Graduation from the reputed DAV College under Punjab University. He was admitted to Dept. of Law in Punjab University by his ambitious father but he had least interest in formal studies and rather preferred attending Spiritual Discourses, Lectures and such gatherings to quench ever increasing quest for spiritual knowledge. His father advised him strictly to spend at least 3 hours daily at their famous and city’s biggest Bookstore owned by his father. He would quickly finish up the assigned tasks for the day at their Store and quietly slip out to ‘The Ashram’ and spend more and more time among devotees and sadhus.
The benevolent, kind and very pious mother, Sheela Rani, would often come to his rescue, playing the emotional card to get him out of trouble and temporarily patch-up for the personality clash with the strict father!
A point came when he left his house and ran barefoot to Maharaj Jee’s Ashram, vowing never ever to return home. With profound respect and reverence towards his mother, Young Bhupesh returned home bowing down to her emotional and psychological appeals.
None of that would work with this divine soul born with a divinely manifested purpose!
With little interest in studies at College level, he started spending more and more time with Saints at Guru Maharaj’s Ashram in the city and would often run to them at the slightest opportunity. Young Bhupesh found plenty of favours with Guru Maharaj and always received divine blessings in the Ashram.
Who has the power to alter God’s will for a divine soul on its well- defined spiritual flight???
The Marriage in perfect Spiritual setting- Blessings of Guru Maharaj:
His earnest quest for finding his Guru, The Spiritual Master, continued unabated making him meet and visit several Yogis, Saints and Spiritual preachers as and when he got any opportunity. He started visiting Maharaj Jee’s ashram on regular basis and would sing bhajans in the company of other saints, getting plenty of attention and soon became a favourite there. This Ashram also eventually became a place where ‘Young Bhupesh’ found his soulmate, ardhangani Anupama, during this divine spiritual journey with the blessings of the Head Priest of the Ashram - Maharaj Jee.
With profound blessings of Guru Maharaj Jee, he was married to a divinely beautiful ‘Anupama’ (meaning ‘Incomparable, Unique’)in 1991. His father was extremely happy thinking that the family bonds would divert his unwavering attention from the Spiritual path and put at rest his divine quest. God gifted this divine couple with three flowers, namely Shraddha (meaning ‘Reverence / devotion), Vishwas( meaning ‘belief’) and Prarthna(meaning ‘prayer’).
Introduction to Guru’s Vaani – ‘Brahm Gyan’ (ब्रह्म ज्ञान) Satsang:
BhupeshJi’s elder sister, Kanta Bahenji, visited them from Allahabad and would read Dada Laxmi Bhagwan Ji’s Vaani. He would sit and listen to his sister but with hardly any good understanding of the typical Sayings in chaste Sindhi dialect converted in devnagri (Hindi) script. After few days, he started getting interested and yearned to know the deeper meanings of Dada Laxmi BhagwanJi’s Sayings in the ‘Vaani’ Brahm Gyan Satsang. He started daily attending, the ‘Brahm Gyan Vaani Satsang’ which was conducted in the form of ‘Vaani, Divine Voice of The Almighty or Guru Bhagwan.
Spiritual Masters (Gurus) come into your life at some point, if the ground is fertile with required spiritual platform, and attempt to teach you the very things you need the most, if your time has come and you’re prepared subconsciously as well to absorb and drink the nectar of divine teachings. The presence of a spiritual master is easily felt and noticed by the one who’s ready from his inner being, with ‘purity of heart & mind’.
Satguru’s Call –The Divine grace :
By now, the Divine processes had started unfolding, in the making of the future Sant BhupeshJi - The Spiritual Master, with a divine call through Dada Laxmi Bhgawan Ji’s hand-picked disciple, Shri O P Singhal, who came as the Satguru’s messenger all the way from Bombay to Chandigarh to meet Bhupesh Ji at his sector 17 Bookstore. Glimpses of Divine experiences could be felt and seen in more than one ways in his life. He felt more and more gifted to attract people around him with a certain spiritual pull and it was difficult for many he came across, not to listen to him and go untouched.
One such incidence is related to his meeting with Satguru’s messenger, Shri O P Singhal, who waited outside their Sector 17 Bookstore for hours to meet BhupeshJi. When he came face-to-face with him, both of them could instantly recognize each other, without a single word exchanged and anyone’s introduction or any previous connection in any ways, and connected well as if they had known each other well since long. O P Singhal offered to hand carry a ‘personal message’ of BhupeshJi to Dada Laxmi BhagwanJi.His Satguru’s call came exactly three days later and his joy knew no bounds.
His Satguru, Dada Laxmi Bhagwan Ji, summoned him to their Bombay Headquarters on 1st March’1998 where he eventually spent around two days undergoing the divine spiritual transformation that eventually changed the course of his entire life, putting to rest all questions and queries in his mind for ever. Those two days were the defining moments of his of spiritual life, setting the tone and texture of his future Divine journey.
He stayed with a relative in Bombay and the next morning at 5:30 a.m, he reached the designated spot for his pick-up an hour early. He had been unable to sleep the previous night in anticipation of his meeting with Bhagwanji. He was met by a very graceful and unusually calm devotee of BhagwanJi, Shri Gul Bhatija. This Yogi picked him up at 6:30 a.m and drove him down to BhagwanJi’s Ashram. The Car journey with this gentleman was so very compelling in near complete silence that BhupeshJi got highly energized, with thoughts crossing his mind,” If BhagwanJi’s Yogis carry so much divine grace, what will it be like to meet Dada BhagwanJi in person !”
In a highly tranquil environment, Gul Bhatija escorted him to the 1stand closest seat to Dada Laxmi BhagwanJi’s Gaddi at the ‘Nanak Kutir’, BhagwanJi’s abode in Bombay. There were disciples like Suresh Oberoi, Lajjo sant, Meera sant, Raani sant and the senior most ardent devotee, Sant Asan das who were sitting around him on first day of Bhagwan jee’s Satsang. Sant Asan Das loved him so much that he open- heartedly shared many of Bhagwan jee’s Leela with him in Nanak kutir only.
Meeting his ‘Satguru’ Dada Laxmi BhagwanJi – A divine experience:
Dada Laxmi BhagwanJi entered and got seated on Guru Gaddi, singing a Bhajan ,“Mere dada ki murli … bole Prem, prem, prem.. (मेरे दादा की मुरली क्या है ...... बोले प्रेम, प्रेम, प्रेम )“ supported with tabla by Lajjo Sant & Meera Sant.
BhagwanJi looked straight into the eyes of Young Bhupesh and something beautiful magical started happening inside, resulting in a state of ‘an inexplicable Joy & ‘ Anand’ that knew no bounds!’ It was like someone piercing through the deep recesses of his subconscious, making him dance while being seated in front of The Satguru and the Sants present in that august gathering. BhagwanJi’s aura was so very empowering that it was difficult to hold her gaze beyond a few seconds and one got pushed instantly into a heightened states of consciousness.
Sant BhupeshJi - ‘Avirbhav Day’ 7th March 1998: Beginning of Vaani Satsang
Something big was happening in his pure conscience(shudh antahkaran / शुद्ध अन्तःकरण ) and he got highly charged up with the divine energy under the supreme governance of Dada Laxmi BhagwanJi, his Satguru, who later entrusted him with the divine task of furthering ‘Brahm Gyan Teachings’ through ‘Vaani Satsang Discourses’ in Chandigarh. INDIA. He got uniquely blessed to conduct Vaani Satsangs on a mixed unisex platform which was never done earlier as a male preacher could only attend to the male disciples!
The divine influenceoperates in humans to regenerate and sanctify, to inspire virtuous impulses, and to impart strength to endure trial and resist temptations.
BhupeshJi, being among the chosen fewby Him, connected with his Satguru, Dada Laxmi BhagwanJi, instantly to experience the moment of Divine grace. This Lila & Mahima of the Satguru was beyond words on an infinite ( behad … limitless) expanse and could only be subconsciously experienced in all its divine glory and splendor!
Sant BhupeshJi started the Vaani Satsang Discourses in the City Beautiful, Chandigarh, INDIA, withthe divine blessings of his Satguru Dada Laxmi BhagwanJi, on his ‘Avirbhav Day’ 7th March 1998.
ब्रह्म ज्ञान Vaani Satsang by Sant BhupeshJi – Beholding Satguru’s bliss and grace:
The news of his sister Jyoti’s sudden deathwas the first testing situation. The entire family was shocked and in deep mourning, unable to digest this untimely death at a young age, but to his surprise he remained calm and composed, without any remorse internally accepting this as God’s will. He stayed back home with his mother while the other family members travelled to Moradabad (U.P) at his sister’s in-laws place in this hour of grief.
Having come back from Bombay after having such a blissfully transforming meeting with his Satguru Dada Laxmi Bhagwan Jee, Sant BhupeshJi was having realizations so profound, so obvious, and so very blissful that couldn’t be explained in words.
He started Daily Brahm Gyan Divya Vaani Satsang (परम पूज्य दादा लक्ष्मी भगवान् जी की वाणी: ब्रह्म ज्ञान दिव्य सत्संग) in the City Beautiful, Chandigarh, INDIA. Though the no. of Yogis attending his satsang remained 2-3 in the initial one year he steadfastly moved forward on the Satguru’s divinely crafted spiritual path with an ever increasing enthusiasm. He fondly remembers his first committed Yogi Rakesh Chopra, working with ICICI Bank who would rejoice attending his Brahm Gyan (ब्रह्म ज्ञान) Vaani Satsangs. Subhash Chander Bansal was the second committed yogi who attended these unique Satsang Discourses daily.
After few years, his Satguru Dada Laxmi BhagwanJi left her mortal body for heavenlyabode and this news reached him late evening. That night he could hardly sleep and got up at 4 ‘O Clock in the early morning (Prabhat vela). He, in his complete tranquility, started having very blissful experiences.
Sant BhupeshJi was definitely on a spiritual journey from finding and beholding a true Guru to the stage of self-realization and bliss! With closed eyes and still body, he started receiving the Divine grace of his Satguru coming and settling within him - his Eyes, body , hands and other limbs were going through an electric transformation at subconscious level. The transformation was fast expanding within, making him feel extremely light and uplifted in a previously unknown manner.
Satguru - A true master is omniscient. He knows the state and the problems of a devotee, knowing how to untangle the knots that are impeding a disciple. All his questions vanished and got completely absorbed in peace, poise and bliss. He was experiencing a new sense of joy and happiness, being in ‘Bliss’! Sant BhupeshJi’s God- search came to a beautiful end, putting everything to rest forever!
There on, his Satguru Dada Laxmi BhagwanJi was seen ‘Live’ in front of him many a times during his daily Vaani Satsangs, lovingly smiling, looking and blessing him and the Yogis.
Satguru's vachan : " If you want to love me, Love my Yogis!”. ‘Guru gyan’ made life complete and spiritually fulfilling.
Today, his entire life is like a Lighthouse of his Satguru’s immense love and blessings, with unconditional love for the yogis ( Devotees). This ‘Unconditional love’ for the yogis is his most cherished and beautiful gift from the Satguru. The Life he leads today is very ‘Normal- Natural, while Walking with the Satguru, Living with the Satguru, Eating with the Satguru, Sleeping and Waking up with the Satguru … Feeling ONE with The Satguru who is ‘God-essence’!.
The divine journey continues since 1st March 1998, 365 days a year, without a single holiday, with his famous and unique daily ‘Brahm Gyan Divya Satsang Discourses’ in The City Beautiful, Chandigarh. INDIA, in addition to the Satsang Discourses at periodic intervals at In-door and Out-door locations like Haridwar, Vrindavan, Delhi, Noida, Manali, Shimla - Kasauli, Dharampur, Ludhiana, Abohar - Fazilka, Saharanpur, etc- etc. , in addition to the ones being organized periodically by his ardent devotees, Spiritual Life Trust- S L T Sants & Yogis’.
BhagwanJi’s aura was so powerful and empowering that BhupeshJi felt his consciousness instantly merge within BhagwanJi and all the questions he had in his mind faded automatically and he felt filled with the Divine Bliss beyond human comprehension.
Recalling brief personal interaction of Sant Bhupeshji with the Satguru, during his short two and a half days stay in Bombay, when he visited Nanak Kutir:
BhupeshJi: भगवान् , बिजनेस में मेरा मन नही लगता, बस हर समय सत्संग ही सत्संग करने को मन करता है।
Dada Laxmi BhagwanJi:
